PROJECT SAS 2016
Purpose of Project: The basic purpose of the project is to promote education by providing basic school supplies to under privileged students from government schools in rural villages.
Brief Description of Project: The project was started during the academic year 2014-15, we were able to provide complete school kits to 725 students in 2014 and to 1538 students in 2015 and a total of 4112 students benefited through our project during the last two academic years.
We planned to continue our project this academic year 2016-17 and started our work related to the project in the month of March 2016.
Role of Volunteers: Volunteers are integral part of our organization and all the projects implemented till date are successful only because of their hard work and commitment. The project involved relentless hard work of 12 volunteers for over 2 months (Initial Planning—> Surveys in Schools —> Search for Sponsors—> Procuring of kits —> Transport of kits—> Distribution of kits ).
Project 2016:
The project was led by Mr. Abhilash Pulijala and ably supported by Mr. Bharath Kumar and Mr. Ganesh Palakurla, they managed all the planning, scheduling, transportation & distribution of kits and also all the finances and accounts related to the project.
The surveys at various places were conducted by our volunteers Sreelaxmi (Nalgonda), Ganesh (Mahabubnagar), Abhilash (R.R.Dist), Sandhya & Karthik (Warangal). After collecting information from over 30 schools, we selected 18 schools for distributing kits based on attendance & pass percentage from previous academic year.
We selected the following schools to distribute the school kits,
- Nalgonda : ZPHS Kothapalli, ZPHS Tirumalagiri, ZPHS Rajavaram from Anumula Mandal,
- Warangal : ZPHSMuppanapalle & ZPSS Gurrevula (Eturunagaram Mandal), ZPHS Katapur(Tadvai Mandal), ZPHS Neerukulla (Atmakur Mandal)
- R.R.Dist : TS Model School & KGBV – Palmakul, ZPHS Chinna Golkonda, ZPHS Mamidipally, ZPHS Kothapalli, Nachiketha Tapovan-Madhapur
- Mahabubnagar : Kolkulpally, Nagilla, Amangal
- Kadapa : Porumamilla
